Ubuntu: Remove Old Kernels

Symptom
You run Ubuntu and after updating so many times you see a lot of kernels in the start up.
Basically freeing up more space your hard-disk also.

Resolution
Completely remove the old ones, keep the previous old from the update at least though. By removing a "linux-image-???????-generic" file, it will also automatically remove the associated modules with it.
  1. Go to System->Administraction->Synaptic Package Manager
  2. Search for "linux-"
  3. Careful which you wish to remove completely. If it was just the following kernels in the boot up, linux-image-2.6.24-21-generic, linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic, linux-image-2.6.24-18-generic
  4. I decided to just remove one as I only saw, 3 linux-images in my boot up.
